Does the Oklahoma lemon law cover used vehicles?+

Okla. Stat. tit. 15, § 901 (Oklahoma Lemon Law) primarily covers new vehicles. The federal Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act (MMWA) frequently extends to used vehicles that came with any written warranty — manufacturer remaining warranty, certified pre-owned warranty, or a dealer's used-car warranty. We evaluate whether your case fits state law, federal MMWA, or both.

How many repair attempts does Oklahoma require?+

Oklahoma's statutory presumption: 4 repair attempts OR 45 days out of service in first year / warranty period. Federal MMWA does not set a fixed number — it requires a 'reasonable opportunity' for the manufacturer to repair, which is fact-specific.

Do I have to arbitrate before suing in Oklahoma?+

Oklahoma arbitration rules: Manufacturer-sponsored arbitration is optional. Federal MMWA claims generally do NOT require manufacturer-sponsored arbitration as a prerequisite to suit.
